Moqui Cave is an astonishing museum of natural history located inside a huge 200 ft. sandstone cave.  This museum portrays life of the ancient Anasazi Indians of southern Utah, exhibits including over 1000 arrowheads, pots, bowls, jugs, ceremonial points, and working tools from centuries ago.  Fossils and dinosaur tracks also inhabit this naturally cooled cave, as well as one of the largest fluorescent rock displays in the U.S.

The cave was purchased by Laura and Garth Chamberlain in 1951.  With the unique dinosaur entryway put on the front, the cave drew many tourists’ attention to the unusual museum.  The Chamberlains worked hard to make Moqui Cave a wonderful tourist attraction.  Garth’s son Lex and daughter-in-law Lee Ann Chamberlain continue this same goal today.

The cave’s history is just as fascinating as the artifacts inside.  Tourists are welcome to take a historical tour into the museum, hosted by Lex Chamberlain.  There is also a gift store in a side chamber, where tourists can purchase items such as Indian arts and crafts, kachina dolls, rugs, pottery, and turquoise.  Summer hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bus tours are welcome.
