Lake Powell offers a number of activities for water enthusiasts. Fishing, boating, skiing, and other aquatic activities are available from multiple entry points to the lake. In addition, the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, which includes Lake Powell, is perfect for hiking, biking, or scenic drives.
The area offers a variety of lodging experiences, including bed and breakfasts, lodges, motels, and campgrounds. Many restaurants, particularly at the more populated marina areas, also provide a variety of cuisines.
The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is open year-round, with summer months seeing the highest visitation and reduced services at marinas in the winter months. The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Headquarters in Page, Arizona, is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed noon to 1 p.m., and closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
