Worn from Navajo sandstone from the Middle Jurassic geologic period, the rust-colored sand that forms the dunes of Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park makes for beautiful hiking, horseback riding, and exhilarating off-roading.  The Coral Pink Sand Dunes are the only major sand dunes on the Colorado Plateau.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is open year round during daylight hours.  Park rules and safety requirements for off-highway vehicle riding can be found on the park's website.
