The Squaw Trail provides perhaps the most impressive view of the city of Kanab. The start of the trail is easily accessed by car to a level gravel parking lot. From there, the beginning of the trail is an easy, gradual incline at the mouth of the canyon. A steady incline up the side of the canyon is more challenging, but those who scale this path are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the city.
Continuing on the trail to the full 1.5 miles of trekking takes you to an overlook of the Grand Staircase, and the trail circles all the way around the city to the Bottles Overlook.
Located just north of Kanab's Jacob Hamblin city park and the Kanab baseball fields, the trail is well marked. Access the trail at the very north end of 100 East.
